Progress line cutting discs from Lukas

A top product in the field of cutting discs is the Progress line from Lukas. PROGRESS stands for a perfectly matched matrix of powerful abrasive grains and an innovative synthetic resin bond. With increased holding forces, so that each abrasive grain is retained in the grinding disc for even longer and is used to its full potential. For you, this means maximum efficiency thanks to significantly more cuts per cut-off disc. The low wear of PROGRESS leads to significantly reduced odour and dust development, thus improving ergonomics in daily use. Fewer tool changes combined with high cutting speed give you a clear time advantage. Discover for yourself with every cut how ergonomically PROGRESS cuts through a wide variety of steel and stainless steel types with minimal effort. This allows you to work longer without fatigue.

3M Cubitron II cutting discs

3M Cubitron II cutting discs are a revolution in the world of grinding.

Some features of 3M Cubitron II cutting discs

Cut faster and last longer than conventional discs. Thanks to 3M technology, which completely changes the grinding process, Cubitron II abrasives guarantee the following: Faster grinding, Material stays sharp longer, Less pressure required, Less user fatigue, Higher productivity.

The secret of the Cubitron II minerals in the cutting discs

The secret behind the power and performance of Cubitron II products lies in the revolutionary 3M Precision Shaped Grain technology developed by 3M. As the triangular minerals wear down, very small fragments break off, exposing new sharp minerals on the surface time and time again. The minerals wear evenly, resulting in a consistent finish, enormous cutting power and a long service life.

Optimal speed for cutting discs

If the speed of the machine used is too low, cutting discs tend to "jump", causing the edge of the disc to wear unevenly and excessively quickly. The maximum permissible values for speed and circumferential speed are indicated on the label of each disc. In the interests of your own safety, it is therefore advisable not to exceed these values when grinding.

Safety tip
For the safety of the user, we recommend replacing 0.8 mm cutting discs with 1 mm or 1.6 mm cutting discs where the work allows. The thin disc is more fragile and breaks more easily than a slightly thicker disc, with all the possible consequences that this entails. Of course, it is always necessary to use personal protective equipment when grinding.

Lukas Progress cutting discs are available in diameters ranging from 100 to 230 mm and in thicknesses of 1.0, 1.6 or 3 mm (Ø 230 only).
